8/22/2018 · I think that if it was a bad injector it must be in the metering part of the control section. Is there a way to check the F .I. C.M and has anybody heard of one causing this problem. I have been working on diesels for 26 years both big and small but this is my first duramax .

The FICM will cycle through the injector outputs when the key is placed in the ON position. This is called pre-cycle and the time of pre-cycle varies with engine temperature. The pre-cycle is done as a self test of the injector circuits. 6.0 Power Stroke FICM Voltage. The FICM internally generates 48V used to drive the injector solenoids.
6/15/2010 · The vacuum on the fuel system will tell us lots. You may have a kinked line, a rubber line collapsing at the injection pump, a small hole in the supply line from the tank and things Like that. I do not suspect the injection module but I would check the wiring at the top of it.
9/28/2012 · Truck surge at idle with the brake on would indicate a failing icp sensor and harness. The surge is quite noticeable! 24 volts cranking on the FICM with good batts. would indicate a bad FICM. Sheetrockman, I would check the fuel filters. how many miles on them and are they oem/racor?, 10/4/2014 · Also when putting back in lay the ficm back on top of the harnesses and with a hand on both sides, use your finger tips to plug them back in (listen for the click).
